Welcome! I teach violin students in my home studio in Old East Dallas.
I aim to encourage each student to develop a personal connection to themselves through the violin. I believe this is achieved by helping students to reach challenging goals and learning to practice consistently with patience and determination. I hope to empower students’ confidence and curiosity with critical thinking and creative problem solving.
Students from absolute beginners to advanced are welcome.
I have been fortunate to have studied classical violin under the tutelage of Dr. Ania Bard-Schwarz, Julia Bushkova, Molly Emerman, and Julie Threatte, baroque violin under Cynthia Roberts, and jazz violin under Scott Tixier.
My students frequently win first chair and section leader positions in their school orchestras, win awards at music competitions at the local and state level, win auditions in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestras and Jazz Orchestra, and go on to continue their musical journeys in college and beyond.
