Ciana Rosenblad
Violinist, Teacher
Ciana Rosenblad is a Grammy nominated violinist born and raised in Austin, Texas and currently based in Dallas, Texas. For the past decade she has been playing classical violin, irish and country fiddle, baroque violin, gospel, world music, indie singer/songwriter, film scores, and contemporary christian music in the Austin and the DFW areas. When she is not practicing or performing, she is teaching violin students from the ages of four to adults. Her mission is to perform and teach music in such a way as to impact the world for the better by making music more accessible and helping to develop an appreciation for this creative outlet. As a result, she hopes that this shared positive impact will bring a meaningful understanding between people and help to form communities between those involved.
About
In 2021 Ciana received her bachelor’s degree in violin performance from the University of North Texas, studying under Dr. Ania Bard-Schwarz and baroque violin under Professor Cynthia Roberts. During her time at UNT she also studied with Professor Julia Bushkova, Professor Philip Lewis, Dr. Daphne Gerling, and Professor Scott Tixier.
Ciana has performed at Carnegie Hall, for the Grammy Planning Committee, and since 2021; alongside American Idol artist Austin Michael, the Dallas Lyric Stage Orchestra, Texarkana Symphony, McKinney Philharmonic, Tulsa Symphony, Tulsa Ballet, Nashville Symphony, Roy Cotton’s Urban Symphony, Luminous Sound recording studio, Grammy Award winning Anthony Evans Jr., Grammy Award winning Richard DeRosa, Grammy Award winning Kurt Elling, Grammy Award winning The Temptations, and other orchestras and artists in the Texas and Oklahoma regions.
Besides playing violin, Ciana uses her free time to garden, read, and spend time with her family, friends, and cat, Tiger.
